We have been sitting back a bit and watched how quickly this buggy flooded into the rc world. It looks like a beast and separates itself from the rest of the buggy pack. Is this a home run for Axial Racing? I bet it will be. Axial Racing has primarily catered to the crawler cult that has exploded “short-course” like over the past several years. This in our opinion is due in-part to the hard work and dedication of the Axial Racing Group towards the ever evolving scale and r/c rock-crawling interest. So impressive the radio controlled segment still has a strong ability to grab the attention of the new and old-schoolers time and time again.
If you remember Team Losi released the 1/10 scale XXX-SCB (Short Course Buggy) earlier this year. While we can attempt to stack up and compare these two beasts, it seems at first glance it would be an apple’s to orange’s case. Axial Racing stays true to the core-scale following with these design notes. The guys opted to secure the EXO rear shocks right to the molded tube chassis vs the industry standard rear shock tower. The battery straps were molded to look like tire treads and a finished interior to ad that Axial Scale touch. This thing is beefy, and we will have one.
